This hoverboard is the exact same as the Mattel board that came out several years ago. The only difference is that the Mattel logos have been removed, there isn't a battery pack on the bottom, and all the electronics have also been removed. The sticker quality is still the same, and it's not even close to movie accurate, but I do like the hoverboard and it makes a great prop. I'm glad I don't have to carry my expensive Mattel one around. For the price it's well worth it! And just in time for 2015!!Was this review helpful to you?

There are some manufacturing issues with the hoverboard.
I have purchased a few hoverboard and a couple of them were defective.
The issue is the stickers peel off and there are a lot of air bubbles. and the ticker is not centered.
I call them and let them know I'll return the item and I'd like to receive the replacement.
By the way, it sounds like all this problem happened after they changed the manufacture.

The board itself looks incredible and it's lightweight. It's made of plastic and all colours are spot on! The adjustable foot strap and the fact the foot pad swivels are a great bonus and so is the Velcro grip tape. Totally recommended from a BTTF nerd fanboyWas this review helpful to you?

I bought one of these from the same company a couple years ago and it came amazing. I've been using is as Marty McFly cosplay since then. I ordered another so I could have a fresh one for Michael J Fox to sign and it was a complete disaster with stickers wrinkled and popping up everywhere. They did send me a replacement (which looks fine in photos but I will have to see soon). So yeah prepare for an amazing full scale hoverboard prop, or a complete train wreck. I really like the item but the packaging is poor. The cardboard is paper thin. I ordered 1 and the out and inner box were damaged, even the hoverboard, so I was sent a replacement. That box also came in damaged and it damaged the hoverboard box but the board was ok. I got this board for my son's 13th birthday. I saw previous reviews and worried about the sticker placement having bubbles, but I made the purchase anyway.. I AM SO GLAD I BOUGHT THIS!!! The stickers are absolutely perfect. Everything about this board is spot on with the movie. It is absolutely a beautiful piece of movie cinema magic. 100% A+ !!!

I bought this after reading all the reviews and nitpicks about the decals and such. It's the exact same as the Mattel Hoverboard minus the electronics and the little purple box on the bottom. But i knew that and expected it. I only bought it as cool decoration,for my costume, and to say i finally got my hoverboard. Compared to the $600 people are asking for the mattel version on ebay, i'll gladly take this one and it's officially licensed too. I also bought the shoes for my costume this year. I love the board overall... if it was done close to perfect that is. The graphics were not applied evenly and has a few small folds. Likewise the velcro is not centered. If you get one thats done right... easy 5 stars. Mine is a 3. I could not be happier with this hoverboard. I've been waiting for years to get my hands on one and was not disappointed at all.
Were there a few places that the stickers weren't quite lined up? Yes, but as an overall piece no one is going to notice small imperfections when you have it under your arm in costume.

Not the biggest fan. I get that it is full scale and significantly cheaper then the Mattel version but the quality control on this is bad. Outer box arrived with a tiny tear and a crease due to the shipping box being a little damaged, but that’s the postal service’s fault. The hover bored, however, is PERFECT. The sticker was thankfully in excellent condition (I was worried about that). This will be a gift for a family member who has wanted this practically since birth! The day I got it, I was so excited and when I opened it, I literally almost blew up of MORE excitement. This is an amazing thing to get. Money is VERY WELL spent. The one thing I noticed was some trapped air in areas under stickers. But this is a great toy to get. I suggest you get one. These hoverboards are more than 100 dollars but this one is only 50 bucks. This is a great prop. I remember trying to buy one of these when Mattel made them for a short run and those went for over a hundred. This as far as I know is the same exact product. Looks great expect for the decals. The underside has significant bubbling. Some came out but some won't. This item is very well made and it made me so happy! It also comes in a nice box. For the price, it's an incredibly good deal! I did bring a little personalized touch by adding pink fur on the strap and 2 Mattel glossy stickers and the transformation is complete! Very happy with my purchase. One tiny thing, the top sticker was applied a little crooked and many bubbles were under it but nothing a little x-acto touch can't fix. Now it's all perfect.
